The red box

Once upon a time a long long time ago there was a boy named Charles who lived with his parents on an beach next to a damp and dark forest. He liked adventuring out in the deep and dark forests next to his house. One time when he was adventuring in the forest he found a box! And it wasn't just any box, no it was a magical red box! Charles couldn't wait to show his parents the discovery he found! But then he accidentally tripped over a branch when he had the box in his hand then out of the box came a mysterious creature. The box also came with a letter and the letter said "I AM A MYSTERIOUS CREATURE. SIGNED ANONYMOUS" . Charles was amazed at the creature he found! So he placed the creature in a big see through cage for display. But in the morning the cage was open! And the creature was gone! The boy was really sad that his creature was gone so he went back into the the mysterious forest that awaited him to try and find him. But then when he went into the forest he saw the creature! And the creature turned from a beautiful amazing creature into a big drooling ugly monster! "AAAAAAH!" The boy screamed as he tried to run away! But as the boy almost got out of the forest he got kidnapped by the monster ! So the boy got dragged in to the forest. So till this day the boy and the monster were never heard of again......

The bridge

Once upon a time in the forest of Noah there lived a moose named Kevin and a bear named Moss. They both lived on a side of a cliff and they had a bridge so they could hop on and see each other. There also lived a raccoon named Baboon and a rabbit named Charlie Dig up. But then the bear and the moose hopped on at the same time and they got mad. They started arguing because when they where both on the bridge the moose wanted the bear to move and the bear wanted the moose to move. Then a little raccoon came and asked politely for them to move. But the bear wouldn't budge . So the bear grabbed the raccoon and donged him on the head then threw him back to where the bridge started. Then a rabbit came and asked the moose to move but then the moose grabbed him and kicked him back. Then the raccoon and the rabbit got the rope that held half of the bridge up then they both cut the rope then sent the moose and the bear to their doom. Then the rabbit and the raccoon went on to walk then the raccoon made space for the rabbit to go.

GTT Reflection


  • Why do we do GTT?
So we can share things that we made. So we can learn more about cooking and gardening.
  • What kind of foods do we make at GTT?
Vegetarian and no nuts.Different types of things and we have to exchange ingredients.
  • What do we want to see more of?
More time and stretch to year sixes. Kids can choose what to cook.
  • What do we enjoy most at GTT?
Everything but mostly sharing.
  • What do we find difficult at GTT?
Pulling out big weeds and getting the right ingredients.

7. Make one personal goal for yourself (in class) for Term 3.
1. I am most pleased about writing because you get to write squiggle story's, sometimes you get to do free writing, you get to do buddy writing and much more.
2. I enjoyed the trip to Mangare mountain because you got to learn about Maori culture, we got to make kites and more.
3. I found the problem solving worksheet with Alexa  hard because there was Alexa and Adrian and one found 363 while the other found 18 and you had to add the same amount of shells everyday until they got the same amount of shells on one day. To me, it was hard.
4. Writing because most of the time I don't edit my work when I finish my writing and the writing I did did not have that much good words in it.
5. I would like to do more school trips because it is really nice to have just a simple school trip to a simple place.
6. From the Must do/Can do sheet, I like squiggle story the best because it is just,fun!.
7. My personal goal is to keep my desk tidy.

My maths goal

My maths goal is to solve subtraction problems involving two and three digit numbers.
To succeed in my goal I need to
Count back in ones,tens and hundreds.
Use place value to help.
Use rounding and compensating.

Ex 101-43  100-42
And reverse the problem into addition

my reading goal


My reading goal is to expand my vocabulary.
To succeed I need to
Pay attention to the words I don't know
Look in a dictionary to find out what words mean.
Ask someone what the words mean and write down the tricky words.

My goal is to relate to others by listening to them.
To succeed I need to look at the person talking'
Try + sit still
and stop talking.

My writing goal is to edit my work for correct spelling and punctuation.

The adventures of some bread

Image result for toastOnce upon a bakery there lived a piece of bread called toast. His lifelong dream since he was a kid was to be toast. But all of his friends named toaster' Breddo and Craver said he couldn't do it even if he tried his hardest. But they were all wrong because he did become toast!

But before I tell you that story I have to tell you THIS story. Every time toast invented something like holding a balloon or hoping on a skateboard it just didn't work. Then he had a brilliant idea "Eureka! I will sneak into the tool box at night and grab some tools to make a hand glider!"so he did it.

Then at nighttime he snuck into the toolbox at night tryed not to make noise. Then  he heard footsteps. It was the grand toast!"--wha-t a--re----y--ou--d-oin--g-youn--g-toa--ster?" said the grand toast "um.. I'm making a hand glider to flying me to the toaster" said toast "oka-y"said the grand toast and then he walked off.Toast was so relived that the grand toast let him off the hook and so he went into the toolbox. "Cool" said toast and he climbed into the large toolbox. So he got the supplies and then he went out.

The next day.. he made the hand glider then he flew to the toaster. "Oh boy!" said the toast"I'm finally going to be toast!" then he went and landed into the toaster. But what he didn't know was that the toaster was turned onto high! So when he came out he became burnt toast. So remember little breads' if you want to be toast always remember to check how high its on.

A cloudy lesson

Once upon a world there was an old man living in the clouds with his grandson. They shared lots of times together but the most special one was when the boy did something that made the grandpa happy. So let me tell you that story. Once upon a world ( yet again ) the grandpa and his grandson were living in the clouds and the grandpa was a cloud blower. Cloud blowers are the ones who make clouds up in the sky and the grandpa wanted his grandson to show him how to be a cloud blower. So he pulled out his cloud blowing stick and showed the kid how to do it. WHOOSH!!! The stick yelled as the grandpa blew out a cloud into the sky"Ooooh! Lemme try!" said the grandson as he grabbed the stick so he could try. But when he tryed to do it he only blew out a little little cloud that only stayed in the sky for ten seconds until it vanished like the wind. The grandpa was astonished that his grandson couldn't do it so he told him to blow like an elephant sneezing so the grandson tryed. But when he did it it didn't work so he kept grabbing it and pulling it but then' the kid pushed it on the ground with him on it ! " Are you alright?'" the grandpa said as he picked him up but then he was shocked to see that when the grandson fell on it he actually bent the stick!
Then his grandson tryed to fix it but he made worse! But then he had an idea so he got the stick and bent the top into a star! then his grandpa blew out of the stick then a star cloud came out! He was astonished! So he gave it to his grandson to do another one then he made a bunny cloud! then the grandpa made a love heart stick then the grandson blew it out. Then they sat down and hugged.

Clocktower writing

Once upon a time there was a lady called Jasmine. Every day and night she had to spin around so that the Clock tower kept spinning. But one day she was tired
so Jasmine stopped spinning and went outside to see the world. But when she went to see the world everything stopped and the clouds went grey.  It turns out that when she was spinning' she was actually controlling time! then she started sobbing when time stopped. So she went back and started spinning.Then a balloon came to her from the clock tower. Then she was very happy and she lived a very happy life.

MY DRIVE TO WESTGATE !!!

In the morning I woke up at 8:30 sharp to get to Westgate. I had breakfast and had a shower and then I was ready to go to Westgate ! When we were driving we had to wait 20 minutes because there was a HUGE traffic jam. I played on my iPad for five minutes but then the battery went out.

It was pretty boring for awhile but then we arrived at Westgate! We parked the car at the warehouse then walked to maccas for lunch. After maccas we walked to the warehouse because we where running out of time.

When we weere inside nan walked into the clothes isle while I went into the entertainment/games isle. I watched some commercials but then my nan came to me and said "hurry up and pick your game or we can come home without a game !" So I picked SONIC GENARATIONS for the XBOX 360 then we went home.

Back home  I had a shower and then I had a shower then I ate pudding then I turned on my Xbox and played my new game then I went to bed and that's the end of my day !

My EOTC writing

On Friday we were in a hurry to package goodies to the retirement village. When we got there I heard barking coming from inside while the class waited outside the village. Then I talked to a few people but I was really shy. Then the people who took care of the residents gave the class something to eat. Then after we ate we danced then after all that we went back with a treat that one of the people that took care of the residents gave us. Then we went to the pools and we got to learn about being safe around rips, ( my favourite part ) using life jackets and water safety. After that we went back to school and when we came back school finished.

DOUGHNUT DAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi guys its Maire and I just wanted to show you this news article and I wanted to show you it because I liked it and I hope you like it too.

It tells you about how the donut was in the world war 1 and Salvation Army donut girls made donuts for the men to make them feel like home. One man said " I don't know what we would do If it wasn't for those donuts ".

Bondi beach turns red!!!!

Hi guys, it's me Maire and I just wanted you to check out this weird news article on Dogo news. Its about the famous Bondi beach Waters turning red and making your skin and eyes red and at night time the water turns purple and its now call sea sparkles or " fire of the sea " .
